My Trip to Kips Bay Designer Showhouse

I had the privilege of touring the Kips Bay Designer Showhouse in Palm Beach, Florida recently and was completely blown away. The showhouse featured 22 interior designers from around the globe and I must say some of the rooms were very inspiring and unique. Here are some of my favorites:

  • Camera Da Letto Della Contessa “The Countess’s Bedroom” by Nina Magon

This is one of my favorite bedrooms I toured from fellow Houston designer Nina Magon. I love the added feature of the lighting lining the bed and side tables, as well as the block paneling in a unique and flattering blush color. This room is understated, yet absolutely spectacular.

  • Bar Mustique by Ellen Kavanaugh

This upstairs terrace exudes beach paradise and reminds me of a chic spot in St. Barths. It was inspired by beach clubs of the late ’70s and early ’80s. It is the perfect space to sit at sunset and play a game or enjoy a tropical cocktail. This space contains everything you need to entertain your favorite people.

  • Le Jardin des Perroquetes by Brittany Bromly Interiors

This bedroom is small but incredibly interesting. The bed posts are done in fabric and contrast perfectly with the ornate hand painted pink parrot wall covering. This bedroom is very old world and Palm beach to me. Just stunning!
